Celebrating Hunnukah on ice.
On the first day of Hanukkah, once the stars appeared in the sky, all our kids, parents and teachers gathered around the big Hunukkiah. For us it’s a tradition to celebrate this holiday with a family, at the ice rink.
The founder of the school “Perlyna” Rabbi Jonathan Benjamin Markovitch lit the first candle and sang a prayer. For Ukraine and all the guests, he wished wisdom, love, and peace in every home and achievements of miracles at this difficult time.
4th grade students congratulated everybody with a cheerful speech and song. Despite falling, which could not have been avoided on ice, no one got upset. It only made us feel more joyful and fun! 🙂
